Aperio hubs and the wireless layout
Wireless openings reach a compatible access-control platform through supported Aperio hubs. Hub capacity, reach and topology vary with product generation, region and the integration in use. Floor-plan distance is not enough on its own: survey the site and record which lock belongs to which hub.
Metal construction, shafts, elevators, equipment and tenant work done later can all change how well the radio path performs. Sort out hub power, the controller wiring or network relationship and access to the enclosure. Prove the link with doors closed and the building running normally.

Credentials, platform and what happens offline
Credential technology and encryption have to be confirmed against the exact lock and the exact access-control integration. Work out enrollment, key management, card migration, expiration and mobile provisioning where that applies. A lock that reads the badges already in circulation is a convenience, not a reason to keep weak credential technology in service.
Write down what the lock still decides locally when a hub, controller, server or network link drops. Settle how fast credential changes reach the door and how events are buffered or collected. Since features are not supported the same way on every access platform, get a current integration matrix.
