Kisi cloud access control hardware and identity workflows

Coordinate Kisi controllers, readers, mobile credentials, identity integrations and door hardware for a supportable cloud access deployment.

KSEDCO supplies, installs, configures, maintains, repairs, and supports these systems across Georgia. Discuss a site or service request

What Kisi includes—and how to choose

Kisi is a cloud-managed access-control platform with field controllers and readers, mobile and physical credential options, user groups, schedules and event history. Cloud administration simplifies some multisite tasks, but the physical opening still requires a complete lock, reader, request-to-exit, door-position, life-safety and power system engineering.

Kisi controllers and readers are selected by current supported capacity, interface and deployment guidance. Exact models, power and network requirements needs to be confirmed before procurement. Existing Wiegand or OSDP readers, locks and credentials need a compatibility assessment rather than a blanket reuse assumption.

Identity, visitor, mobile-wallet and intercom integrations can automate useful workflows. Each integration needs an owner, source of truth, provisioning and deprovisioning rule, failure procedure and privacy decision. A successful API connection is not the same as a tested business process.

Product families and their roles

This portfolio map separates the main Kisi functions so the security engagement is not reduced to a generic model list.

Kisi cloud platform

Sites, doors, users, groups, schedules, events and administrative controls.

Controllers and readers

Field hardware that connects approved opening components to the cloud platform.

Mobile and wallet credentials

Phone-based access options governed by eligibility and lifecycle policy.

Identity, visitor and intercom

Supported integrations that connect access with business and entrance workflows.

Architecture decisions before procurement

The selected family must fit the opening, scene, network, power, software and administrative environment.

Opening system engineering

Specify lock, egress, REX, contact, reader, power and emergency behavior per door.

Network path

Confirm controller connectivity, firewall policy, addressing, time and outage behavior.

Identity ownership

Define the authoritative directory, group rules, termination timing and exceptions.

Privacy and audit

Limit administrator privilege and define log, visitor and integration data handling.

Functional Commissioning evidence

Acceptance needs to demonstrate the intended workflow under realistic conditions, not only show that devices appear online.

  • Commission each door under normal, denied, forced, held and outage conditions.
  • Provision and revoke mobile and physical credentials using the approved identity process.
  • Test visitor or intercom release from initiation through audit record.
  • Verify roles, MFA, event search, export and administrator recovery.
