Where no one needs to talk and an integrated IP reader/controller suits the opening, use an Access Unit. Where calling is required, choose among IP Style, Verso, Force, One, Base, Solo or another current intercom on display, camera, modularity, durability, accessibility, mounting and call needs.

PoE transport, SIP calling and management
Provide supported PoE, switch ports, VLANs, IP addresses, DNS, NTP and secure management reachability. SIP supports peer or PBX calls, while My2N cloud and Access Commander serve different residential and commercial workflows. Verify licenses and capacity for the current release.
Device management, user answering and access administration belong in separate hands, each with named roles, backups and recovery. When calling rides the internet, record outage behavior and the local alternatives, so clients know which functions rest on cloud service.

What reads, what releases, what integrates
Risk, day-to-day convenience and integration decide whether the site reads secured RFID, PIN, QR, fingerprint or WaveKey mobile credentials. Whatever is chosen, pin down the reader configuration, card keys, mobile subscriptions and enrollment. Low-frequency legacy credentials should not slip in as an unexamined default.
Coordinate lock power, relay security, door position, request-to-exit and emergency release. Exterior controller-equipped readers require a system engineering that considers relay and wiring exposure. Integrations with VMS, home automation or access platforms needs to be checked in the official integration resources.

Hardening, proof and upkeep
Turn on HTTPS with certificates and strong accounts, plus supported 802.1X or other secure protocols where the client network allows. Keep exposed services few, and firmware and configuration on record. Downloads come from 2N’s official center.
Acceptance runs a call end to end: video, audio, credential read, release, schedules, offline modes, cloud interruption, logs. Station and user records go to the client; credentials, access keys and site configuration stay unpublished.
